CARBURES fue invitado a participar en el Foro "España-Estados Unidos: Una relación empresarial de futuro", celebrado en la Casa de América de Madrid y organizado por la Fundación Consejo España-EE.UU. Representado por Rafael Contreras, en su doble condición de Consejero Delegado de Carbures Europe y Presidente de Carbures USA, tuvimos la oportunidad de contar la experiencia de CARBURES en su proceso de internacionalización, y concretamente en su experiencia en Estados Unidos.
CARBURES was invited to be part of the Forum "Spain-USA: A business relation of the future", celebrated at the House of America in Madrid and organized by the Foundation Council Spain-USA. Represented by Rafael Contreras, in his double role of CEO of Carbures Europe and President of Carbures USA. We had the opportunity to share the experience of CARBURES in its process of internationalization, and specifically about its experience in The United States.

El Foro fue inaugurado por el Presidente de la Fundación, Juan Rodríguez Iriarte; el embajador de EE.UU. en España, Alan Solomont; Josep Piqué, Presidente del Círculo de Economía; y Jaime García-Legaz, Secretario de Estado de Comercio y Presidente del ICEX. Tras esta apertura, se sucedieron cuatro mesas redondas compuestas por grandes empresas como Abengoa, General Electric, Boeing; PYMES como Vermeer, Hiperbaric, o CARBURES; y otras dos mesas sobre nuevas energías y sectores de I+D.
The Conference was opened by the President of the Foundation, Juan Rodriguez Iriarte; the Ambassador of U.S.A. in Spain, Alan Solomont; Josep Piqué, President of Economy Circle; and Jaime Garcia-Legaz, Secretary of State of Commerce and President of ICEX. After this opening, there were four panels integrated by big companies like Abengoa, General Electric, Boeing; SME like Vermeer, Hiperbaric, and CARBURES, and two other panels about new energies, and R+D sectors.
La intervención de Rafael Contreras tuvo una excelente acogida y suscitó un gran interés. El hecho de que una empresa surgida de un grupo de investigación universitaria, se haya convertido hoy en día en el único Tier 2 con presencia global, así como el tener la tecnología como el centro del modelo de negocio y estar exportando y transfiriendo conocimiento, obtuvo una activa respuesta por parte de los asistentes en forma de preguntas y felicitaciones.
Rafael Contreras’ participation had an excellent response and people were very interested. The facts that CARBURES is a company which originated from a Research group at a University, and has become the only Tier 2 company with global presence; Carbures has technology at the core of its business model and is exporting and transferring knowledge. This information got an active response from the audience in the way of questions and congratulations.

CARBURES, actualmente, está plenamente establecido en Estados Unidos, y desde ahí está abordando el mercado norteamericano, colocándose por sus capacidades en un posicionamiento privilegiado que ya está dando sus frutos concretos.
Currently, CARBURES is fully established in the States, and is addressing the North American market. Because of the capabilities, the position is a priviledged one and it is already producing productive results.
También colaboraron en la organizacíon de este encuentro el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores y Cooperación, el ICEX (Insituto de Comercio Exterior), la Embajada de EE.UU. en España, y la Cámara de Comercio de EE.UU. en España.
Other institutions that colaborated in this Conference were Ministry of International Affairs and Cooperation, ICEX (Institute of Exterior Commerce), USA Embassy in Spain, and the USA Chamber of Commerce in Spain.
