The largest production plant of CARBURES, located next to the airport in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz-Spain), has the fuel to take off : Two contracts with Airbus, for its civil models A380 and A320 which provide economic feasibility to a plant with around five million euros of investment.

CARBURES has been offering during the last six years among its potential clients this innovative facility created to produce medium and large size carbon fiber structures for aeronautics industry. The company releases its second capital increase in 2013 for six million euros.

Between the two contract unleashed in the last month and a half, it is specially significant the one involving de A320 Neo. CARBURES  will produce two components for this model - the most successful model for the european constructor- which is the model that has most carbon fiber parts.The contract is for the entire lifetime of the program, and it will produce an income of 17 million euros for the next ten years, until 2023, that is the date until this model it is expecting to be produced considering the orders acumulated at the moment. 

CARBURES will deliver the structures regarding this contract directly to Airbus.The company is already producing some kind of beams for the A380 model.The second order is to produce in carbon fiber the fuel tank cover for this model, the biggest commercial aircraft in the world.

Rafael Contreras, CEO of CARBURES Europe, explains that  ¨this contracts allows to keep addressing the consolidation as tier 2 provider of small pieces for the A380, A400M and now the A320 Neo.¨ The company founded in El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz-Spain) is the second oldest in Spain - with twelve years of expertise in the sector- in the production of carbon fiber structures for the industry, only behind Composystem.

In 2012, its turnover was 4.9 million euros, a 52% higher than the previous year. In 2013 it has integrated to the engineering company MDU located in Seville, and acquisition with aninvestment of ten million euros and which provides fifteen million euros of incomes per year.Both companies were bidding together in recent times some packages of work.

In 2013, it is remarkable the good evolution in the USA, where in the first quarter achieved a workload which equals the double of incomes foresaw for the entire year.
