Carbures abre gas a fondo y entra de lleno en el sector de las dos ruedas. El Grupo tecnológico industrial, especializado en la fabricación de estructuras en materiales compuestos, sella una alianza con el equipo Pons Racing, vigente campeón del mundo en Moto2, para investigar y desarrollar nuevos materiales, en fibra de carbono, para el carenado y otras piezas de las motos del citado equipo. Carbures entra así en la carrera por convertirse en el fabricante de referencia de piezas de motos de competición y de serie en fibra de carbono.
La industria va lanzada en la carrera por fabricar vehículos más eficientes. El origen está en el sector aeronáutico, en el que hace apenas un lustro, sólo un cinco por ciento de las piezas de aviones estaba fabricado en fibra de carbono. Hoy día, ese porcentaje es, en algunos casos, de hasta un 65 por ciento. El sector de la automoción, tanto en coches como en motos, discurre por el mismo camino y Carbures está en la pole position en esta carrera industrial.
