Carbures and Inypsa at the MEDCAP Forum

Carbures and Inypsa participated yesterday, Wednesday May 30th, in the XIV edition of the Small and Medium Capitalization Companies Forum (MEDCAP) 2018, organized by Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME) and held on the Madrid Stock Exchange. Both companies, in the process of merging, were invited to the Discovery Meeting, in which the speakers were Valentín Estefanell, CEO of Inypsa, and Borja Martínez-Laredo, CEO of Carbures. Both focused on informing the market of the respective business models and even shared the stage to give a few glimpses of the progress of the merging process.

After his presentation, Estefanell invited Martínez-Laredo to share the stage and both explained that they are currently immersed in the process of prior due diligence and that they expect it to end during the month of June. One of the aspects in which Martínez-Laredo had an impact was how the merge is being carried out, which includes a previous capital increase of 15.2 million euros from Inypsa, until completing at least 30 million euros of net cash ( including the income derived from the capital increase) for the resulting company.

Carbures offers 2 strategic sessions about Industry 4.0 at the ADM - Sevilla 2018

Carbures becomes a point of reference in Industry 4.0. Within the Aerospace & Defense Meetings (ADM) Sevilla 2018, a series of strategic sessions have been held consisting of workshops given by industry leaders. Carbures has been one of the companies invited to participate in two of the sessions held, "Smart Structures in the Aeronautics and Defense sectors" and "Collaborative Robots for Industry 4.0".

In the first session "Smart Structures in Aerospace and Defense Sectors", Carbures explained one of the lines in which the company is already working, the sensorization of different parts and structures of the airplane. The benefits of the development of parts and sensorized structures are that they will allow to reduce the times in which this will remain on land for maintenance work since the sensorized structures will allow knowing the state of these parts in real time.

The second session  was "Collaborative Robots for Industry 4.0". The demand of the travelers is increasing and the companies that work in the aeronautical sector need to adapt to this circumstance and this happens to produce at higher scales and lower costs, through the optimization of the productive processes, which, in many cases, It can be achieved by integrating robots into the production chain. This second workshop was given by Carbures and two giants of the sector, such as ALTRAN, which dealt with the area of sensorization, and CATEC, which addressed augmented reality technologies.

Carbures at the IV Aerospace and Defense Meetings - ADM Seville 2018

Carbures participates in the largest business meeting of the aerospace sector in Spain, Aerospace & Defense Meetings (ADM) Sevilla 2018. This professional event, which takes place in the Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions of Seville (Fibes) and is organized by Extenda (Andalusia Government), celebrates its fourth edition this year and has the participation of 254 firms from 24 countries, including the four major global manufacturers, 45 large international contractors and top manufacturers (Tier1 and 2) and up to 10 aerospace clusters from different regions of Europe and Africa. Carbures is located at stand 19, where it presents its technology and its industrial capacity to manufacture parts in composite materials (such as carbon fiber) for airplanes, in this case.

ADM Seville will be officially inaugurated tomorrow, Tuesday, by the president of the Andalusian Government, Susana Díaz, together with the Counselor of Economy and Innovation of the Junta de Andalucía, Antonio Ramírez de Arellano, and other authorities. The objective of this great meeting is to support commercial relations and establish new business opportunities between Spanish companies and international firms that attend the event. In the case of Carbures, it will maintain about fifty formal meetings during the two days of the event, both with current and potential customers, among which are Airbus, General Dynamics, Boeing, Embraer, SABCA, Indra to name a few. During the ADM, specialized workshops are also held for the participants. Carbures will teach two that are entitled "Smart Structures" and "Industry 4.0" and that shows the strategic lines where the company is working intensively.

Carbures receives the IATF Automotive Certification in El Burgo de Osma

On April 19, Carbures completed an important milestone by obtaining the IATF automotive certification at its plant in El Burgo de Osma. This certification is promoted by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF), which is an organization that brings together the main automotive manufacturers in the world: BMW, Ford, Renault, Volkswagen, General Motors, Daimler, etc.

Prior to this certification, the plant held ISO TS 16949, which was the necessary regulation worldwide. In the case of the IATF, the manufacturers have created their own standards to respond to the high level of their requirements made to their suppliers. Carbures has been preparing for almost a year to adapt to the new certification. He hired an independent external auditor to ensure that the plant met the requirements, then a two-day prior audit was conducted to approve the final exam, and a demanding final audit with two auditors for almost four days led to the IATF aproval.

Carbures Civil Works presents its capacities video

The area of Civil Works of Carbures, presents its video of capacities in which projects, processes, resources, etc, are shown. It is the second of the three videos that Carbures is producing, after the publication a few months ago of Aerospace & Defense audiovisual.

For the realization of this video we have used material from our facilities in Spain and Mexico, as well as from different projects and works done by Carbures. In 2017, the Civil Works area experienced a 115.8% increase in revenues, following an effort that is reflected in this video, which will serve as a presentation tool for new customers.

Our CEO visits China to meet the 2 biggest Aeronautical OEMs

Borja Martínez-Laredo, CEO of our company is in China during this week in a commercial mission to visit two major Chinese aircraft manufacturers: AVIC and COMAC. The mission is carried out together with Javier Moreno, General Manager of the division of Aerospace & Defense; Javier Cortés, Commercial Director, and Borja Amores, Director of the Carbures plant in Harbin.

The objective of this mission is to present first hand the capabilities that CARBURES has to be part of the programs of these two aviation giants. The CARBURES delegation traveled today to Beijing to meet with directors and managers of AVIC, among whom were Yi Xiaosu, Director of the ACCA's Science and Technology Committee, and Ma Xingyun, Director and Head of the International Department. On Thursday, May 3, they will travel to Shanghai to hold bilateral meetings with COMAC. Both companies were driven by the Chinese government itself to have its own developments in the aeronautical sector in the years 1999 and 2008 respectively.
