This capital is defended by the Ariane network, composed of all European cities, agencies and companies in the aerospace sector, which is a "framework for promoting joint programs and projects". Only two Spanish cities had been the capitals of the aerospace industry, Barcelona and Madrid. Now Seville joins the list of cities that have received that title, which currently boasts Toulouse.
The aerospace industry accounts for 1.6 percent of Andalusia's GDP and has created 700 new jobs in the last year. Carbures has offices in Aeropolis tech park where the company Defense and Systems area is concentrated with almost 300 engineers, much gray matter dedicated to the development of high technology systems and equipment like Airbus MRTT flight control stick or to think about how to improve the ratios of efficiency of aircrafts through the use of composites, among other materials.
