Carbures sells its collaborative robots in USA and Japan

Carbures Machinery, integrated in the division of Carbures Mobility, advances in its line of business through the development and commercialization of its own technology. These are collaborative robots that optimize the car production chain, allowing the operator to work in a more effective and safe way.

These robots, which work simultaneously in the same work area with the operator, represent an advance in the engineering of processes and technologies of security of machines. This system allows the robot to collaborate in other tasks of more precision or more fatigue, while the operator is executing  other operations.  This reduces the cycle time of the production lines and improves their ergonomics. The integration of these types of robots among the products offered by the  Mobility division can represent a turnover of around € 3 million per year in a short period of time.

The development of applications with collaborative robots is the result of a Carbures R+D project started in 2016. The international company based in El Puerto de Santa María has signed an agreement with Prefered Integrator, one of the leading brands of robots at a global level, through which it will have access to its Development Center. This new system has passed the strictest security controls against possible risks for CE certification of applications.

The collaborative robot technology will go into production at a factory of Nexteer, an important Tier 1 in USA, this July. At the same time a sales contract with the Japanese company Denso has been signed for the application of the same technology in its production facilities.
