This Tuesday, on the occasion of the opening of this event, King Felipe and Queen Letizia will visit the Andalusian Aerospace Technology Park (Aerópolis), in order to open the first Incubator of Aerospace Technology Transfer. This initiative is promoted by the Cámara de Comercio in Sevilla and Incyde Foundation, whose main objective is the implementation and consolidation of start-ups linked to the aerospace sector. Extenda stresses that this event, which is held every two years, aims to consolidate Andalusia as a key point in the business world in this sector.
Andalusian companies working in the aerospace and defense industry in 2014 earned a total of 2.244 million euros and provided about 13.000 direct jobs through 114 companies. Sevilla-Cádiz area (where Carbures Aerospace & Defense is based) accounts for 99,77% of the Andalusian exports, reaching up to 1.518 million euros in 2015.
