The Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI), and his Japanese counterpart agency, NEDO, in collaboration with Sernauto (Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Automotive Equipment and Components, thanks to its member companies represent more than 85% of the sector's turnover), organized this mission to show the latest developments in the sector, the automotive industry, where Spain has major global car manufacturers that supply components to the big brands.
The bilateral program of technological cooperation in automotive is divided into two large topics: Smart devices and Smart materials. The objective of this program is to promote, support and finance the development of the technological cooperation between Japan and Spain, through technology transfer, industrial research, technological development and innovation.
Carbures showed to the Japanese manufacturers its own technology, patented, the Rapid Multi-injection Compress Process (RMCP), a press for car parts in carbon fiber, unique in the world and competing in manufacturing time with traditional production in metal, a material four times heavier and 3.5 times less resistant than carbon fiber.
