El ministro de Industria, Energía y Turismo, José Manuel Soria, sostenía la pieza en sus manos sorprendido por su ligereza y su dureza. “Se trata del travesaño sobre el que se apoya el motor de un vehículo, de más de 300 kilos de peso, y que va anclado, en perpendicular, a los ‘cuernos’ del chasis delantero. Una pieza estructural en fibra de carbono un 60 por ciento más ligera que la misma pieza fabricada en metal. La industria ya lo aplica y lo fabricamos nosotros, Carbures”. Así se lo explicaron nuestros Vicepresidentes, el Operativo, José María Tarragó, y el Financiero, Juan Juárez, el martes en El Burgo de Osma, durante un encuentro que el ministro mantuvo con los empresarios que se han instalado en la localidad soriana para desarrollar su actividad industrial. Carbures ha ubicado su planta de automoción más potente en Burgo de Osma y allí arranca la carrera para fabricar series largas de piezas como la que le mostraron al ministro.

Spain’s Industry, Economy and Tourism minister, Jose Manuel Soria, held the piece in his hands and was shocked by its lightness and hardness. “It is the crossbar where the engine of a vehicle, which weights over 300 kilos, rests. It is anchored to the 'horns' of the front chassis. A structural carbon fiber piece that is 60 per cent lighter than the same piece made out of metal. The industry is already applying this pieces and Carbures manufactures them". In this way it was explained by our Operational Vice President José María Tarragó, and the Financial one, Juan Juarez, last Tuesday in El Burgo de Osma, during a meeting that the Minister held with the entrepreneurs who have settled in this Northern Spain city to develop their industrial activity. Carbures has located its largest automotive plant in El Burgo de Osma, and there is where the race to produce long series of carbon fiber car pieces, like the ones we showed to the Minister, starts.
