As we all know, the presentation of our new CEO, Borja Martínez-Laredo, took place during the 2017 Carbures International Week, where different internal and external activities took place.
This presentation, which was handled by the President and founder, Rafael Contreras, was held at the Carbures Airport facility in Jerez de la Frontera. In it, the new CEO spoke about his priorities after taking possession, and how he sees the company and its business as well as its main strengths and opportunities.
In this post, you can see a short video as a summary with some of the most remarkable statements.
Carbures enters in a new stage of maturing business and industrial growth. Borja Martínez-Laredo will leader this stage, who has been elected with unanimity by the board of directors of the company with the objective to leader the consolidation process of Carbures as a company reference in industrial processes with compose materials.
Carbures Martínez Laredo will use two levers in order to impulse the rise of the company: new accesses to national and international financial markets and to reach new alliances with big industrial groups with the final task to replace the metal with the carbon fiber and other composite materials. With our aeronautic division flying high in the fabrication with composites, now it is the turn of the automotive and Civil Work sector, divisions in which we expect a very strong speed up.
Carbures Machinery, integrated in the division of Carbures Mobility, advances in its line of business through the development and commercialization of its own technology. These are collaborative robots that optimize the car production chain, allowing the operator to work in a more effective and safe way.
These robots, which work simultaneously in the same work area with the operator, represent an advance in the engineering of processes and technologies of security of machines. This system allows the robot to collaborate in other tasks of more precision or more fatigue, while the operator is executing other operations. This reduces the cycle time of the production lines and improves their ergonomics. The integration of these types of robots among the products offered by the Mobility division can represent a turnover of around € 3 million per year in a short period of time.
In a global company such as Carbures, there are many elements that enable its agility, its ability to work internationally, the transfer of knowledge and technology from one sector to another, as it has been shown on many occasions. That transfer between two worlds as the University (and Research) and the Company is in our DNA.
Carbures International Week is a reflection and a generator of these elements which are necessary for that fast reaction, generation of synergies, creation of a community of internal leaders that run the organization, and the contact of all these with the different stakeholders, both external and internal, that make Carbures a reality.
Carbures has opened an Investor Area in our home page. The creation of this new area supposes an effort to keep on with the transparency of the company for investors.
With a quick registration, the investor will have access to a weekly summary of general financial information; a newsletter every seven days with the latest news; will have priority access for the registration to some activities organized by Carbures. This tool will facilitate the possibility to be updated about the Company, its activities and also a way to concentrate all the information. This area supposes a new step to stay closer to all our investors who have put their trust on us. We want this area to be a tool that will allow a better understanding about the technological trends of all the sectors that we work for: Aerospace & Defense, Mobility and Civil Works. Also, this Investor Area will show the main analysts’ files about our Company.
