Carbures attends DeciElec Embedded Systems

This week, Carbures has participated as an exhibitor at DeciElec Embedded Systems, a reference event in the sector of electronic systems, connected and embedded, on October 18 and 19 in Toulouse, France. With its presence at this event, the international company strengthens its position in the European market in the development of highly critical electronic equipment and systems, expanding the customer portfolio.

This is not the first time that Carbures is present in one of the most important calls of this sector. The first was in 2015, which opened the doors to Thales Alenia Space, the largest European satellite manufacturer, with whom he is currently talking to make proposals for the coming year. One of the characteristics of DeciElec is its purely electronic approach, so the b2b meetings on which the event is based are very technical and buyers come with very particular needs, which is a great advantage for a company specializing in development of ad-hoc solutions, such as Carbures.

Seville, European Capital of Aerospace sector

Seville will fly high in 2019, the year in which it will be the European Capital of the Aerospace Sector. The Sevillian aeronautical pole, along with that of the central zone (Madrid, Getafe, Toledo ...) is the most important in Spain, areas in which the sector has important manufacturers in the industry, from Airbus, Tier 1 and Tier 2 , such as Carbures, which is present with different plants in both poles.

The appointment of Seville as European Aeronautical capital is a clear recognition of this city and will allow it to promote training programs in the sector, collaboration agreements with other cities and opportunities for attracting investments. In 2015, the City of Seville presented its candidacy as European Capital of the aerospace sector. On 4 October, Juan Espadas, mayor of Seville, confirmed that the city had finally been chosen from numerous European capitals and cities.

Carbures achieves another industrial milestone with Airbus

Carbures has participated in the achievement of a new industrial milestone by Airbus: the manufacture of the plane number 50 of the model A400M. Carbures aeronautical plants have produced composite parts for this series of military aircrafts such as aerodynamic wing fairings, horizontal stabilizer ribs as well as angles and other reinforcements for those stabilizer structures. Carbures is grateful to Airbus for allowing it to fly together in its more than a decade of industrial collaboration.

In April 2016, Airbus awarded Carbures with the Best Improver Award, in the Supply Chain Quality Improvement Program (SQIP), in an international reference event for the aeronautics industry in Toulouse, France. Carbures was chosen from among 15,000 European suppliers of Airbus, as one of 29 that have integrated the program. Carbures was the only Tier 2 among the 29 finalists and was recognized with the award to the supplier who has implemented the greatest improvements in its manufacturing processes. The remaining 28 were Tier 1, suppliers of parts assembled with others.

Building a spirit of solidarity

From Carbures, we have taken actions to help those affected by the earthquake that occurred on September 19 in Mexico. Our campaign to collect food and equipment is helping people who, unfortunately, have been forced to temporarily change their lives with the move to storage centers that were enabled in Mexico City. Healing material, pantry, cleaning supplies, food and water are the items that were collected in our offices.

Likewise, Carbures management is maintaining a continuous contact with the civil protection officers of Mexico City in order to support one of the things we know about best: engineering. We have proposed to carry out urgent analysis on the affected infrastructure, an initiative that would help to better cope with this situation. This initiative can prioritize the repair of the most susceptible and most suffered from the earthquake.
